Built for independent tennis coaches · Coming soon to iOS

Your coaching business,
on one screen.

Baseline holds an independent coach's whole week — sessions, rosters, court details, reminders, payments and every note about every player. Built for the person who teaches the lesson, not for a club front desk.

01 · The schedule

Every lesson, every clinic, one week at a time.

Open the app and see the week. Tap a day to go deep. Each session carries its type, level, price per person and how full it is.

  • Week and day views, with rest days marked so gaps are obvious.
  • Double-booking caught before it happens. Baseline knows a 90-minute clinic at 4:00 runs until 5:30, and blocks 5:00 with the reason spelled out.
  • Roster counts at a glance — 3/6 filled, and full sessions say so.
  • Rain flagged for outdoor sessions, up to seven days ahead.

02 · Reminders

One tap, and everyone knows.

The part of coaching that eats evenings: chasing people down. Baseline writes the text, fills in the court name and street address, and picks exactly who still needs to hear from you.

  • Remind everyone who hasn't confirmed — only the players still pending.
  • Rain on the forecast? Reschedule the whole roster from the banner.
  • Cancel and tell everybody in the same motion.
  • Ask for payment with your Venmo handle already in the message.

03 · Nudges

It tells you, before you'd have thought to look.

Forgetting to chase people isn't a typing problem, it's a remembering problem. So the evening before a session, Baseline tells you who still hasn't answered — and stays quiet when nobody's outstanding.

  • Only when there's something to do. A session where everyone has confirmed sends nothing at all.
  • One a day, not one per session. Three clinics tomorrow is still a single notification.
  • Tap it and you land on the session, the reminder one tap away.
  • Off whenever you like, from a switch in Settings.

A full day still arrives as one. Everyone in? Nothing arrives at all.

04 · The journal

Notes that add up to coaching.

Anyone can write "worked on serve." Baseline threads what you wrote last time under what you write today, so a player's progress is a story you can actually read.

  • Follow-ups nest under the original note, so a thread stays a thread.
  • Tag what you worked on — serve, forehand, backhand, volley, overhead, slice, footwork, return.
  • Focus areas roll up per player: "Backhand · 3× · last Sep 12." You see what you've been avoiding.
  • Sessions and notes share one timeline for each client.

Questions, answered.

Tap any question to open it.

How do I set up a lesson or clinic?

Tap the + button on your schedule. Pick private lesson, 60-minute clinic or 90-minute clinic, choose the date and time, set the level, and search for your court. Capacity and price come from the session type, so a private is one player and a 90-minute clinic holds six.

What happens if two sessions overlap?

Baseline stops you, and tells you why: "You already have a 90-min clinic from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at Pharr Tennis Center." It reads the real duration of each session type, so a long clinic correctly blocks the hour after it. The save button stays disabled until you pick a free slot.

How do players confirm they're coming?

Every player on a roster is Pending or Confirmed. Tap Remind everyone who hasn't confirmed and only the pending players get a text. You can also nudge one player at a time with Ask if they're in.

The roster count on your schedule updates as people confirm, so you know what you're walking into.

Will it remind me to chase people?

Yes. At 6pm the evening before, Baseline sends you one notification naming who still hasn't confirmed — "3 players haven't confirmed" — and tapping it opens that session with the reminder ready to send.

It only arrives when someone is actually outstanding; a session where everyone has confirmed sends nothing. If you have several sessions the next day they arrive as a single notification rather than one each, and you can switch them off entirely in Settings.

What if it rains?

Mark a session as outdoor and Baseline watches the forecast for that court, up to a week out. If rain is 50% or likelier at your start time, the session card shows Rain 70% and the session screen puts a banner at the top.

From that banner you can reschedule and text the roster, or cancel the session and let everyone know, without writing the message yourself.

How do I find and save a court?

Type a few letters and Baseline searches real tennis venues near your city — "pha ten" finds Pharr Tennis Center — and shows how far each one is. Pick one and it saves the full street address.

That address then rides along in every reminder, so nobody texts you asking where to go.

Can I track who's paid?

Yes. Each player on a roster has a payment row: Request sends a text asking for the session fee with your Venmo handle filled in, and Mark paid records it. Tap again to undo.

Baseline does not process payments and takes no cut. Money goes directly from your client to you, the same way it does now.

Where do my coaching notes live?

In each client's journal, on one timeline with their sessions. Write an entry after a lesson, tag the skills you worked on, and add a follow-up next time that nests under the original.

Their profile then shows focus areas ranked by how often you've worked on them and when you last did.

Does Baseline take a cut of my lesson fees?

No. No money moves through Baseline at all. It stores your Venmo handle and writes the text asking for payment; your client pays you directly.

Is my client list private?

Yes. Every client, session and note is locked to your account at the database level, so no other coach can read your roster. Client phone numbers are never sold and never shared for marketing. See the Privacy Policy.

Text messages

How Baseline texts your players.

Baseline sends session reminders and scheduling updates from a coach to their own booked clients. It is not a marketing program, and Baseline never sends promotional messages.

Hi Rita, reminder: your tennis session is Sat, Sep 20 at 9:00 AM at Pharr Tennis Center (4201 Brookview Rd). Reply YES to confirm. - Noor via Baseline. Reply STOP to opt out.

How clients opt in
A client gives their phone number to their coach when booking lessons and agrees to receive reminders about those lessons. The coach records that agreement in Baseline, and only clients marked as agreeing are ever texted.
What gets sent
Reminders before a session, notices when a session is rescheduled or cancelled, and requests for the lesson fee. Clients may reply YES to confirm they are coming.
How often
Typically one to three messages per scheduled session. Clients only hear about lessons they are booked for.
To stop receiving texts
Reply STOP to any message and that number will not be texted again. Clients can also ask their coach to turn reminders off.
For help
Reply HELP to any message, or email hello@coachbaseline.com.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Phone numbers collected for reminders are never sold, and are never shared with third parties for marketing. Full details in the Privacy Policy.
